Free Black Poetry:
When authors seek free publicity, you get free poetry.
There is a wide variety of free Black poetry available. Many new authors find publicity by passing out poetry for friends to read, or by posting on Black websites to get name recognition. Poetry continues to be one of the toughest avenues to travel, but many authors decide to expose their poetry on Free Black Poetry websites. These Black Poetry websites give poets the opportunity to display poetry where people who are interested in their work can view it. Another way that authors promote poetry is to enter free poetry contests. You can often find free black poetry on the contest sponsors websites.
I have entered only a few of these contests, but it ended up that they were only interested in getting as many poems as they possibly could to put a book together and sell their material. I eventually decided that writing my own book would be a better Idea. I may decide to use free Black poetry sites to advertise works that are found in my book The Marks Left Behind.
I have visited many sites and I have read poetry that has inspired me to write, so every chance I get I log onto my computer, get on the internet and type in “Free Black poetry”. I go to as many Black poetry sites as I can view. Yes, I know that most people will shy away from things that are free, but this is a great opportunity for most writers to get publicity. Don’t forget that when authors start passing out free Black Poetry, you reap the benefits. You may even find a poet that really speaks to you and end up becoming a life long fan. There are great amounts of free black poetry out there; you just have to go and find it.
